Not simply prejudice or bigotry
During the George Zimmerman trial, his father Robert Zimmerman, said that it is Afrikan Americans who are the racists. I think we are missing the point by just throwing around that term. If you mean racist in terms of prejudice, then Black folks are just as capable as prejudice as any other people. But if you mean racist, to mean a way of acting and thinking that is buttressed by a system that originated in Europe and developed into an overarching system known as White Supremacy, then Black folks cannot be "racist" like that. If a white person has a prejudice against a Black person, so what? The only time that prejudice matters is if it cannot deny, discriminate or in any way impose the will and desire of that person, against a Black person. Can Black folks, in terms of power relations, have not created (yet) a system that can limit the progress or development of white people, cause that is what White Supremacy does. So, we are not simply talking about racial prejudice, we are talking about White Supremacy, a global system that impose racism, sexism, economic exploitation, religious dogma and iconography, and an educational and philosophical outlook on the world. I am not concerned about instances where Black show prejudice, we need to be more discriminating, but where is the system of Black Supremacy that could really impose a racist system against white folks? So, what in the hell is Robert Zimmerman talking about? I guess to fight against White Supremacy is racist. To challenged Western cultural chauvinism is racist. No, to not do these things is racist because you become a supporter of White Supremacy, i.e. Racism!
